For the most part, what I do in my design classes are based mainly on sketches, quick drawings and such. But...I have now done 3 major projects in my Design Basics class. Here are the pictures!!!

Shape and Line projects...

This was an incredibly hard project. I thought a woman would be easy...but it wasn't. I couldn't draw her shape...I had to draw the curvature to her body and what she was wearing.

Shape Project. Started out with the woman again, but then I had to change it completely into shapes so that you could no longer recognize the picture.

This was my Visual Texture Project.

This is the single Motif that I started out with.

After I made the single Motif, I turned it a quarter turn 4 times and came up with this.

After I made the 4 quarter turn Motif, I turned it into this. It's really just repeated, but it still looks pretty sweet.
This is all I have done as for major projects, but I am working on 2 more right now. One is for this same class. It is a concept board (what I would use to sell my ideas to a client) for a room...an Exotic room. Yes...exotic. Not exactly my style, but I'm learning something new and stepping out of my box. I was given a picture as an example and then a piece of fabric as a starting point. The fabric I was given was white fur of some sort.
The next project I'm working on is a perspective drawing of a time period room. The time period we're doing is an Art Nouveau room. It will be long and difficult, but I'm excited to be able to say that I did it! There's some of what I have done. I hope you liked it!
